Pony Gets a New Leash on Life with Prosthetic Leg

The unfortunate pony lost its leg after its mother accidentally stepped on it when he was just a newborn foal. The pony had to struggle with this condition for a long time, until Dr. Derek Campana stepped in to save him by creating a prosthetic leg. "Seeing this sweet horse walk after so long brought me immense satisfaction. Although I've worked with animals for many years and helped many of them, it thrills me anew every time I witness this 'miracle,'" he said.

The pony's owner, Leni Green, was moved and said that Dr. Campana's action saved the pony's life. "My kids love the pony so much, and I am just amazed to see it walk normally now. We never dreamed this would happen. It's truly a miracle," she remarked.
