A woman's selfless act at the airport has captured the hearts of many online. Kevin Leslie, an eyewitness, shared the heartwarming story and picture on Facebook.
"A man was about to board the plane," Leslie wrote, "when an airline agent stopped him, asking for his daughter's age. He replied, 'Two.' The agent told him he'd need to purchase a ticket for her." The father had booked the flight a year earlier, when his daughter was only a year old, and no ticket was needed. Now that she was two, she required her own seat. With the cost of a last-minute ticket being quite high, the father panicked, aware that he couldn't afford it.
"He stepped aside, making phone calls while holding his daughter...it was clear he was distraught. The woman standing next to him at the counter asked what the problem was. He explained, and she went to the agent, saying, 'I want to pay for this girl's ticket.'"
The agent informed her the ticket price was $749, but the woman didn't hesitate. She pulled out her credit card and purchased the ticket.
"I stood beside her and simply said, 'Hashem bless you,'" Leslie wrote. "The man asked for her name to repay the amount, but she just said, 'Don't worry about it.' She genuinely wanted to help him and his daughter."
Since the Facebook post, commenters have recognized the woman, but they respect her request for anonymity, as highlighted in the post. "I know this woman," one commenter wrote. "She and her family regularly gather to think of how they can use their money to help others. She inspires me every time I see her."
