Outrage as Australians Ride Sea Turtle for Viral Photo

Unbelievable cruelty: Two Australians, spending time on Fraser Island's beaches, posted a shocking photo on their Facebook page. It shows them standing on a distressed sea turtle as if they were surfing.

Along with the disturbing image, the young men captioned it, "Surfed a turtle over the weekend," showing no immediate regret despite the image quickly going viral and receiving negative online reactions.

Their indifference sparked considerable outrage, prompting some users to alert local authorities who are considering prosecuting the pair for severe animal abuse.

If charges are filed, the duo may face fines exceeding $15,000, something many online commenters fervently hope for. Comments like "Hope these losers get what they deserve," "I'd let them spend some time in prison," and "Just when I thought humanity couldn't get worse," were among the responses to their cruel act.

Queensland Parks Service stated that there was evidence the turtle was already dead when the photo was taken, but added, "We are taking this case very seriously, investigating the young men and intend to pursue full legal action."
