If you own light-colored fabric shoes, you know how easily they can get dirty. Often, after wearing them just a few times (like on Yom Kippur), it's tempting to toss them out and buy new ones rather than put in the effort to clean them. However, with this amazing tip, you can make any fabric shoe shine with minimal effort and maximum cleanliness.
You'll need the following materials:
1 tablespoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide
1/2 teaspoon of water
An old, unused toothbrush
Instructions:
First, remove the shoe laces and clean off any clumps of mud or dirt in a 'dry' manner.
In a small bowl, mix the ingredients until you have a paste-like consistency.
Evenly apply your paste all over the shoes, covering every part.
If the laces are dirty too, you can make an additional batch of the mixture, soak the laces in it, and leave them out in the sun with the shoes for about four hours (or until the paste is completely dry).
Knock the shoes together to remove any excess blobs of paste.
Rinse the toothbrush thoroughly and use it to brush off the remaining paste from your beautiful, gleaming shoes.
