A Lone Survivor in the Amazon: The Last of His Tribe

"The Man of the Hole" is the nickname given to the sole survivor of an entire tribe in the Amazon. He earned this name due to the holes he digs in the ground to hide and hunt for his survival.

This astonishing discovery of 'The Man of the Hole' was first made in the early 2000s when he was briefly sighted before vanishing into the jungle for another decade. During those years, all efforts to locate him failed. However, in 2007, the Brazilian government succeeded in identifying his living area and declared it a reserve to protect his territory and ensure that no harm—from humans at least—would come to him.
