Bold, humorous, and even breaking conventions, a Brooklyn, New York resident decided to make the most of a unique natural resource—snow—offering a one-of-a-kind travel experience. He built a large igloo in his backyard by hand and went the extra mile by furnishing it with a big bed draped in warm, cozy linens. This unique igloo was posted on Airbnb as a 'boutique igloo, artist-made,' available at the nightly rate of $200—not a penny less.

Just look at how a few fancy words sell 'luxury': Alongside a picture of the 'luxurious' igloo for couples, he posted this ad: "The 2016 coveted retreat offers originality and vibes of an alternative lifestyle. A luxurious natural setting with hand-crafted artistic treasures awaits—a once-in-a-lifetime experience in a magical retreat for just you two."

Despite the 'grand' idea, Airbnb decided to remove the ad from their site. Interesting choice...
