The Hidden Danger of Wearing Hair Ties on Your Wrist

Here's another reason to keep a tidy look with a ponytail or braid: a young American woman named Audrey Kopp recently found herself in the emergency room due to a hair tie she had worn on her wrist for too long, leading to an infection. She developed a large abscess that suddenly appeared on her wrist, never suspecting the innocent-looking hair tie was to blame.

Fortunately, she sought treatment in the ER before the infection became deadly. Since then, she has been actively posting on her personal Facebook page to raise awareness among other young women, urging people to share her story. "I'm sure 90% of women don't know wearing a hair tie on the wrist could cause this," she wrote in one of her posts. So, ladies, think twice before you make this choice, remember this story, and avoid unnecessary problems.
