1. The True Shape of a Raindrop

We all learn as kids to draw raindrops as tear-shaped. But in reality, there is no resemblance between this iconic shape and the real thing. In truth, a raindrop is completely round, though its fall from the sky to the ground due to gravity sometimes gives it a tear-like appearance.

2. The Red Juice in Your Steak

It's not blood. The red juice that sometimes comes out of a steak isn't blood; it's actually myoglobin, which is similar but not the same.

Dolphins don't drink seawater. Why not? Good question. The saltiness of seawater would be too much for them and could even be fatal if consumed. So, how do they avoid dehydration? Their nutritional water needs are met through the food they consume.
