Following the lead of the 'University of Pizza' in Italy, which opened its doors to the public with a unique course path in pizza studies, a similar initiative has emerged in the U.S.: Manchester Metropolitan University is launching a degree program in pizza science, set to be recognized by relevant authorities in the country as a legitimate academic qualification.
This intriguing program will be offered to students as a five-year experimental track, and will actually occur in collaboration with the global pizza chain 'Hut'. So, what does such a program include? Good question. It's an extensive degree that covers the preparation of various types of pizzas, financial tips for managing a pizzeria, and a 'practical internship' with 'Hut'.
