Surprise Birthday Celebration for Officer on Duty
Amid security concerns, many officers were stationed around the Old City's alleys. One officer, faced with staying on duty during his birthday, received a heartwarming surprise.
In light of recent terrorist events and the shaky security situation, numerous officers were compelled to leave their families and man their posts in the Old City to safeguard the lives of the Jewish residents living there.
A group of young people, who struck up a conversation with one of the officers and discovered that he was spending his birthday on duty, decided to celebrate his birthday in the most joyous way possible. They organized a cake with candles, balloons, and a paper hat, and surprised him at his post, near the site of the tragic murder of Rabbi Nehemiah Lavi and Aharon Bennett.
