The Dog Who Saved the Baby from Crib Death

This incredible post, which has already garnered thousands of shares on Facebook, was shared by a young man named Shai Portal, a father of two little girls, one of them a baby. Here's what Portal writes on his Facebook page: "Exactly a week and a half ago, I was playing with my older daughter. Everything was perfect. We were doing a puzzle and laughing, my wife was making us lunch in the kitchen, and the little one was sleeping. Suddenly, as if possessed, Charlie the Gatekeeper started barking loudly at the crib and the baby." When the dog saw that no one was paying attention to him, he grabbed the crib with his teeth and started shaking it.

"At first, I didn't pay much attention to him; I thought he was playing. But my wife was very annoyed. She left the kitchen and ran towards Charlie, shouting: 'Quiet, you'll wake up the baby. She's asleep.' Suddenly, she looked at the baby in the crib and realized something was wrong. She wasn't breathing and was between life and death. 

"I took the baby in my arms and felt the worst happening to me. The baby was turning blue, her chest was swollen, and she had no pulse. It took me a few seconds to collect myself, and I started performing CPR on her." By the grace of *Hashem*, after a few minutes, the baby regained consciousness. She was rushed for emergency hospitalization in the children's ICU and was released a week and a half later, in stable condition.
