This is a story of devotion: Last Tuesday, my dad suddenly felt ill while sitting in the living room. He felt so bad that he collapsed.
At that moment, my mom was in the bedroom and didn't hear him calling for help. That's when our dog, Tommy, started barking wildly, as if calling for aid.
My mom rushed to the living room and found my dad on the couch in a life-threatening state...
Even when the paramedics arrived, Tommy continued to guard my dad, barking and jumping on him nonstop.
For 5 days, my dad was hospitalized. During those days, Tommy seemed sad, waiting by the door and counting how many people entered the home...

Today, Dad left for a few days of rehabilitation, and sadness returned to Tommy's eyes, comforted only by a pillowcase-shaped 'blanky'... In just a few days, they'll be reunited again...
