I have to share a moving story that just happened to me ...
Walking down the street, I suddenly noticed a wallet lying on the ground next to the road.
Opening it, I saw it contained cash and credit cards.
The bills were organized, just like in a bank: 200s separately, 100s separately, and 50s separately, totaling 10,000 NIS.
Let's not kid ourselves, most of us would take the money and probably smile and thank Hashem.
But I had a feeling this money was meant for some particular purpose.
After checking the credit card and the owner’s name, we met. It turned out the money was saved for his 10-year-old son’s cancer surgery.
The man burst into tears of relief, and I joined him. He even offered me part of the money (of course, I refused).
So maybe the 10,000 NIS weren't mine, but I earned a mitzvah, and it made my Shabbat...
Be good people, friends, that’s worth more than any sum of money in the world!
