In the Jerusalem Talmud, it's written that one of the exiles of the Ten Tribes was to the Sambation River, known for hurling large stones onto its banks, making crossing extremely difficult. However, there's one day a week when this activity stops—on Shabbat. On this day, the stone-throwing ceases, allowing for a safe crossing of the river.
