A Mother's Creative Solution for Her Son's Hearing Aid

Sara Ivermee's five-year-old son, Freddie, was born deaf in one ear, and his other ear functions with difficulty. Recently, Sara learned that Freddie hated wearing his implant because, as he put it, it made him feel 'different from everyone else.' A close family friend mentioned that her daughter faced the same issue and that she didn't know how to help her.

That's when a brilliant idea struck Sara's mind: she would decorate the implants with fantastic characters from cartoons, allowing Freddie to feel proud of his implants rather than ashamed. And so, she did.
