Pizza Delivery Saves a Life: A Heroic Tale from Massachusetts

A CPR course taken during his youth empowered a pizza delivery driver to save a customer's life during critical moments of unconsciousness. 'I went out as a pizza boy and came back as a pizza man,' said the heroic delivery driver in an interview afterward.

Just two weeks into his new job at "Uncle Pizza" in Massachusetts, 19-year-old Anson Lemar found himself in a tense situation: instead of a cheerful customer opening the door, he encountered an unconscious person with three panicked individuals gathered around, attempting to assist.

Lemar didn't waste any time and didn't get confused. He started performing initial CPR until the medical team arrived. 'When I was 12 or 13, I took a CPR course; apparently, some things are never forgotten,' Lemar expressed in an interview later. Only later at the hospital was it revealed that his actions had saved the customer's life from certain death. 'I did what I had to do, and I'm glad the man was saved,' he said.
