Hyomyung Shin was born in 1989 in South Korea, which means today he is a 26-year-old man. Yet, the rare syndrome he suffers from makes him look and sound as if he hasn’t yet reached puberty.

This rare condition prevents his body from exhibiting the natural aging process, and even his growth and development have nearly stopped. With a soft voice, short stature, and childlike face, Shin has been nicknamed the 'Peter Pan of Korea.' He often has to present his ID in public places to prove his real age hidden beneath his youthful appearance.
