In common language, we call it a robot, but to the scientists at TU and MIT, it's a brilliant micro-machine made with origami folding techniques, capable of performing various tasks autonomously. This machine weighs just 0.31 grams, with its motor crafted from tiny magnets and a material known as PVC, which has the fascinating property of dissolving when exposed to acetone.

Both the robot's self-assembly and its propulsion capabilities have been achieved through creative means and substantial planning and investment since 2012. Recently, this unique project was showcased at the international IEEE robotics and automation conference in Seattle, USA.
