This is what happens when Slovakia's brightest minds come together for the next groundbreaking idea: the Ecocapsule—a tiny house that provides its residents with the essentials, harnessing solar and wind energy. Although this pioneering concept sounds appealing, it is a solution best suited for living up to a year.

Each unit is equipped with a complete setup of solar panels and wind turbines (a propeller-like structure that converts wind into electricity) outside the structure, a kitchenette, a bathroom, a bed, and even hot water. According to the engineers, the development suits a wide range of applications—from independent research stations to emergency housing for military units and other groups involved in humanitarian missions abroad.

The initial display of these pioneering housing units is scheduled for the end of the month at a 'pioneer' festival in Vienna. Serious marketing is expected to begin in the latter half of 2016. When will this unique home be seen in the USA? That's a good question, but currently, there is no answer.
