The Giant Squid That Took Social Media by Storm
From the wonders of creation: It's hard to believe such creatures exist in the ocean's depths, but a 7-meter squid was found on a New Zealand beach, sparking online interest.
Despite the advances humanity has made in uncovering the mysteries of our incredible world, there is always more to discover. This was the experience of a New Zealand resident who, while strolling along the beach, stumbled upon a surprisingly huge 7-meter-long squid washed ashore in Kaikoura. He photographed the massive creature, contacted the marine center in Kaikoura, and the photos quickly spread across the internet. "Just before the birds arrived, we managed to move it to an aquarium where it is safe and the public can view it."
We decided to spare you some images of the giant squid, but we can tell you that its longest arm measures 5 meters, with an eye diameter of 19 cm.
