It doesn't matter how terrifying it feels to see a large spider in your space—before you grab that broom or throw a shoe, keep in mind that reacting this way might be the worst approach if the spider is carrying its offspring on its back, giving it the appearance of a 'pregnant spider'.

This is precisely what happened to our unfortunate friend from Alt Cove, Australia, who captured the horror of his unexpected encounter with a 'wolf' spider. Had he anticipated the fearsome result of swatting at the spider with a broom, he might have acted differently, sparing himself and his wife the shrieks of terror that ensued as dozens of tiny spiders scattered in all directions.
