Fascinating development: After countless quality control tests and certifications by the American Standards Institute, the Washington company is finally unveiling its controversial invention: matches that continue to burn even when doused with water or buried in the ground. Some argue this is 'the invention of the century,' emphasizing its necessity and industrial significance. However, there are also many opponents who refuse to accept such a product as a standard shelf item, claiming (with some justification) that it could significantly increase household accident rates, not to mention industrial-scale risks.

So, how does this 'genius' trick work? It's quite simple. The wooden match is coated with an additional layer— a kind of flammable and durable coating that is almost unbeatable.

Eric Moe, an expert on the product who gained considerable reputation in the industrial world thanks to this development, states: "We submerged the matches in buckets of water, buried them in mud, and 'blew' on them with a compressed air hose. In every case, the flame persisted and continued to burn once it encountered oxygen. This process continues, of course, until the coating runs out."
