Echoing Sounds: A Jewish Response to Loud Calls

The phenomenon of Jewish responses to the muezzin's loud calls is spreading. Rafi Ben Shimon wrote, 'Dear People of Israel, some time ago, we saw the video posted by the devout Jew from Geula, where he plays a slightly different "muezzin" to the Arabs in his surroundings. My brother and I live in Neve Tzuf, near two Arab villages - one of which is Deir Nizam. We decided to make our presence known with a similar gesture.'
