What Happened to the Journalist Who Drank a Gallon of Water a Day for a Month?
An American journalist decided to conduct an experiment by drinking a gallon of water daily for a month. Discover the effects on his body and whether he recommends the method.

It started as a 'joke' among his office peers. But when journalist Will Fulton decided to take on the challenge of drinking a gallon of water (3.7 liters, to be precise) each day, he did not anticipate such significant and far-reaching changes.
He divided his challenge into days, describing in detail how he felt every five days. On the first day, unsure of how many cups of water are in a gallon, he decided to buy a large gallon and carry it around throughout the day. "I was completely focused on achieving the goal I set for myself - to drink the daily amount. I couldn't think of anything else."

After the fifth day, Fulton began to notice a significant change in his body: "I'm constantly drinking my water, even when I'm not thirsty. I feel full and satisfied all the time, although I'm eating less."
On the tenth day, Fulton wrote: "I feel different, especially in the mornings. I usually need a large cup of coffee to start my day, but now I feel energized and have a different kind of energy, and it happens immediately when I wake up. I feel better, and if I'm not mistaken - I think I also look better. Perhaps it's a placebo effect, but I feel my hair and skin have become shinier and more vibrant. Although it's hard to keep up with the challenge I've set for myself, it seems more worthwhile every day. Even when I sleep, I keep the water bottle next to me."
On the 15th day, Fulton wrote that coffee almost disappeared from his daily consumption, "This is a significant change for someone like me, who used to drink at least three cups a day. When I go for a run in the evening, I feel I have much more strength, and I tire out much less."
On the twentieth day, many people told him that something had changed in his face and that he looked much happier than before. "I feel like I'm no longer the same person I was, although it's strange to say that," he writes.

Fulton says that if he used to be apprehensive about drinking water regularly - today, not only does he no longer have that fear, but he also can't help but incorporate water drinking into his daily routine. "I wouldn't recommend trying this experiment at home, but I do think you should increase your water intake throughout the day. Over time, you'll know exactly how much water you need to feel good, but at least in the beginning, it's important to double or even triple the amount of water you're currently consuming. Only today, with my water levels balanced, do I realize that I wasn't drinking enough before, which is why I was constantly tired and lacking motivation and energy," he concluded his 30-day challenge.
