Skin tags are small, fleshy growths that appear on the body. While they are usually harmless, they can sometimes catch on clothing and cause sharp pain. Conventional medicine removes them using laser, surgery, or cryotherapy. 

But there are also alternative ways to get rid of this pesky problem, just as effective as conventional solutions, but requiring much more patience until you see the results. 

Method One: Rubbing the tag with Apple Cider Vinegar

You'll need to dip a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and rub it on the fleshy spot two to three times a day until you notice a color change. The spot will usually turn from light to dark, and after about two weeks, it will fall off on its own. 

 

Method Two: Tying a Thread Around the Tag

Wrap a thin sewing thread around the skin tag and tie it tightly at the base. This will cut off the blood supply to the tag, causing it to dry out and 'die'. Leave the thread on the tag for several days until it falls off on its own. 

 

Method Three: Rubbing the Tag with Tea Tree Oil

Similar to the first method, dip a cotton ball in tea tree oil and rub it on the skin tag several times a day for a week or two. When the spot starts turning dark, it indicates that it is on its way to dying completely. 

 

Method Four: Rubbing the Tag with Iodine

Iodine liquid is known not only for disinfecting wounds but also for effectively removing warts. Iodine breaks down dead skin cells and causes them to fall off safely. Simply dip a cotton ball in a little coconut oil on the healthy skin around the wart, then rub the tag with iodine. This way, the iodine won't harm the healthy skin.

 

Method Five: Rubbing the Tag with Crushed Garlic

This method may be the least pleasant due to the garlic's strong and sharp smell, but users worldwide report remarkable success in quickly removing skin tags. All you need to do is crush a clove of garlic and soak a cotton ball in the resulting paste. Use a bandage to stick the cotton ball on the skin tag and wash the area in the morning. Repeat nightly before going to sleep for two weeks to a month.
